In April 2017 a large brick and steel framed building housing thousands of tonnes of stock, machinery and industrial furnaces caught fire causing unsalvageable damage to the entire building.
S Evans & Sons where on site within a matter of hours to assist the fire brigade, and begin the removal of fire damaged waste and equipment.
While S Evans operatives where busy with the job of cleaning up, our project management team quickly began work on putting together a method statement including 3D CAD sequencing of how to demolish the building in a safe and economical manner, while offering protection to live machinery close to the building so the plant could continue to operate without disruption.
Using specialist High Reach Demolition Machinery, experienced operatives, and technical hot works burning methods, the building was safely and methodically demolished, processed and removed from site for recycling.
Once the building was demolished, our team our team was then commissioned with the grubbing up and exposing of the foundations, ready to make way for the new building.
