IT’S GOOD TO GIVE BACK
When client John Sisk & Son asked us to lend a hand on one of their ‘Big Build’ community initiatives, we were only too happy to help.
Pegasus Riding School for the Disabled in Carrington provides horse riding lessons for disabled children and adults in a safe, supportive and fun environment.
John Sisk & Son has been a big supporter of the charity for some time and previously fitted out new stables at the Carrington base. They were keen to do more to help so decided to undertake a ‘Big Build’ project to overhaul the charity’s communal and viewing area. As everything needed replacing – from the ceiling to the floors – we joined forces with several of John Sisk & Son’s suppliers to help transform the space. We organised for a complete asbestos report to be carried out free of charge as part of our contribution to the project.
Savannah Sumner (HSEQ Manager) from S Evans & Sons said: “Pegasus Riding School provides such brilliant and memorable experiences for people across the northwest that we knew we wanted to help John Sisk & Son with their project. Giving back is hugely important to our team, and we were delighted to lend our support to our client and a great local cause.”
Speaking about the project, the charity said: “The gallery renovation has made a significant impact to the experience of our participants and their families. We now have a clean, bright, functional space that provides essential storage for our equipment. The wonderful kitchen area will allow us to provide refreshments during weekly sessions as well as giving us the opportunity to host fundraising and training events in a comfortable and professional environment.
“We know how much time and dedication your teams have given to this project, and we are extremely grateful to be the beneficiaries of your CSR programmes. As a small charity, all of our funding is directed towards running our sessions and the upkeep of our horses, so this project would not have been possible without your input. We cannot thank you all enough”
