RLFC’s cabin demolished with help from S Evans!
After years of standing firm through wind, rain and countless matchdays, Runcorn Linnets Football Club’s old storage cabin has finally hung up its boots.
With signs of rot setting in, the cabin was in urgent need of demolition. Although we were approached to quote for the job, we decided to carry out the work free of charge as the club is an important part of our local community, based just nine miles from our Widnes site, across the river Mersey.
Three of our team spent a day on site demolishing the portacabin with the use of a seven-tonne excavator. We were also supported by our asbestos contractor Intelligent Environmental Services Ltd, who carried out an R&D survey free of charge before demolition began.
Brendan from Runcorn Linnets Football Club said: “The guys have done a fantastic job and we’re absolutely delighted. We look forward to welcoming the S Evans team to one of our matches for some hospitality for a job well done. A massive thank you for making it happen.”
Jordan Sumner from S Evans said: “When we can, we always like to support community projects – either close to our headquarters in Widnes or in the areas where we have projects. We were only too happy to help Runcorn Linnets Football Club.”
