FLEET UPGRADE WITH £700K EXCAVATORS
S Evans & Sons has made a £700,000 investment in four new Hitachi excavators as part of an ongoing programme of fleet upgrades.
Two Hitachi 225-7 excavators, a Hitachi 350-7 and a Hitachi 135-7 join S Evans’ fleet to replace older kit and reduce the carbon emissions and fuel costs, as well as meet clients’ requirements for equipment under five years old.
The new excavators will be used by S Evans’ 44-strong operational team as they deliver demolition services on a variety ofinfrastructure, industrial and marine projects across the UK.
Jordan Sumner, Operations Director said: “We have a long history of continually investing in our fleet to ensure we have the most modern demolition plant available. These new excavators are the latest in our programme of upgrades and put the very latest plant technologies at our disposal.”
All of our excavators come as fully functional demolition specified rigs, with heightened safety features such as halo lights, X-Watch systems including RCI’s, height and slew limitations ensuring our plant operators have the right equipment in the sectors we work in.
This investment follows the addition of new LGV’s, HGV’s and supporting articulated trailers including a number of new hydraulic attachments earlier this year.
S Evans & Sons’ in-house fleet comprises excavators, mobile crushers, sheers, breakers, selector grabs, pulverisers and buckets as well as tipper wagons, low loaders, forklift trucks, vans and pick-ups.
