WEEKEND POSSESSIONS KEEP THE TEAM “ON TRACK”
A hot and busy June weekend saw 90% of S Evans & Sons’ team on site on the UK’s railway network in England and Wales, as they delivered complex possessions for three clients.
Tasked with carrying out two bridge demolitions at Woodend Road, Huddersfield and Morley Station, Leeds, as well as managing an ongoing embankment stabilisation project on Ebbw Vale Earthworks, Nr Newport, the full breadth of S Evans’ resources and expertise were called on to deliver the work safely and to the highest standard.
All work was undertaken during disruptive possessions, when the railways lines are not in use to the public or freight and it’s safe for our team to work trackside.
Each project involving a complex set of planning considerations such as integration with other contractors, protection to Network Rail infrastructure and equipment, efficient programme requirements and environmental considerations.
Jonathan White, Project Manager from S Evans & Sons said: “It was a full company effort to deliver these complex possessions on the same weekend.
“It’s testament to the skills of our management team to work cohesively with the expertise of our on-site teams to ensure that all work was completed safely, professionally and on time.”
