M6 Junction 10

M6 Junction 10 was closed this weekend to allow S Evans & Sons Ltd to carry out the demolition of the south bound structure on behalf of John Sisk & Son Ltd and National Highways.

The new structure, open to live traffic throughout the weekend has been constructed within 2m of the redundant structure. Ensuring that no plant or debris struck the new bridge was essential and managed by numerous banksmen positioned strategically around the works and in communication with plant operatives.

Our excellent team worked tireless over 44 hours and the carriageway opened successfully on time.

A well-earned break this weekend for everyone before we return for the north structure.
