STOCKTON-ON-TEES, BRIDGE
The unique opportunity to remove a 100 metre span rail bridge in Stockton-on-Tees was presented to S. Evans & Sons Ltd.
We were working adjacent to a live rail route and over an existing live watercourse, so it was essential that the works were carried out efficiently, and to a strict programme, in order to completely remove the super-structure and meet the demanding deadline. Specialist marine equipment was used to access the full bridge structure in order to remove the large diameter cast iron piers.
