Emergency works wall collapse and site clearance

In less than 24 hours, our emergency response team made a collapsed track-side wall safe and saw train services reinstated at Liverpool Lime Street station.

The wall caused significant disruption to rail services in and out of Liverpool when it collapsed. From receiving the initial call at 11:30 am, we designed and delivered a method statement which enabled a team of people and plant equipment to clear the site, shore up the remaining wall and hand the site back to the client by 7am the following day.

Despite the challenges of restricted access and tight timescales, we were able to minimise disruption for Liverpool Lime Street’s railway operators and the 55,000 passengers that use it every day.
